Location Advantage
　　 Like  a pearl shinning on Shandong Peninsula, Yantai is lying along the Yellow Sea and  Bohai Sea, bordering on Liaodong Peninsula, Japan and South Korea across the  sea. Yantai is a critical center in the Economic Circle of the Bohai Sea. It  serves as a logistics hub connecting Beijing-Tianjin Economic Circle, Yangtze  River Delta and the Northeast Asia Economic Rim, as well as a gateway city to  Japan and South Korea. It’s regarded by the American Magazine “Forbes” as one of  the most favorable for logistics development.

Harbor
　　Yantai Harbor is  one of the top ten harbors in China. There are 59 berths of over 10,000 DWT. The  maximum water depth is -20 meters. The direct navigation lines reach more than  100 ports of over 70 countries and regions. In 2015, the handling capacity of  cargo was over 330 million tons, container 2.45 million TEU.
　　The West Yantai  Harbor under construction is planned to build 65 berths of 50,000-300,000 DWT.  After completion, it will become the most important hub in North China, with a  handling capacity of 200 million tons for cargo and 15 million TEU for  container.

Airport
　　Yantai Penglai International Airport is a first class domestic airport, open to air traffic with 50 domestic and international cities. Airlines are available to Hong Kong, Taipei, Seoul, Busan, Osaka, Nagoya, Bangkok, and Brussels. The airlines are in the forefront in the nation. In 2015, the passenger throughput of the airport reached 4.25 million.

Land Routes

 Yantai has a higway mileage of 18,846km, including 518km of expressway. Chenyang-Haikou, Rongcheng-Wuhai, Weihai-Qingdao Expressway run through the whole area.

 Railways in Yantai connect with arterial lines in China. The Qingdao-Yantai-Weihai-Rongcheng intercity railway opened in December 2014, forming a one-hour circle among Qingdao, Yantai and Weihai. People can go from Yantai through to Beijing,Shanghai and Ji’nan by high-speed rail.

       The Bohai strait tunnel between Yantai and Dalian has been included in the national planning. When completed, it will connect the Liaodong Peninsula and Shandong Peninsula across the sea, and it will take only one hour to go from Yantai to Dalian.
