Yantai  covers an area of 13,900 km2, with a total population of 7 million. The greater  Yantai includes four districts (Zhifu, Fushan, Laishan, Muping), seven county-level cities (Penglai, Longkou, Qixia, Haiyang, Zhaoyuan,  Laiyang and Laizhou), one county (Changdao) and four state-level economic parks.
