The 18th International Fruit, Vegetable and Food Trade Fair was held in Yantai, Shandong province from Nov 11-13.

Under the theme "Green, Health and Future", the fair attracted 318 enterprises, which set up 559 exhibition booths at an area of 12,000 square meters. The fair featured forums, economic and trade talks, and interactive activities for visitors. This year's fair attached great importance to the promotion of innovative technology such as water-saving irrigation and fertilization facilities. More than 40 famous enterprises presented related technology and products at the fair. Visitors could access the latest agricultural technology and learn about practical gardening skills from the new gardening tools on exhibition.

To raise the popularity of high-quality fruits, organizers invited scholars, industrial insiders and visitors to vote for the best fruits. After several rounds of assessment, ten varieties of fruits such as Qixia apple, Dalian kiwi fruit and Penglai juicy peach were crowned among the top 10 best fruits at the fair.

Through years of development, the annual event has become a flagship event in Yantai and provides a platform for deepening Yantai's exchanges with the world.
