An international event featuring the apple industry will be held from Oct 27 to 29 in Yantai, a coastal city in Shandong province, local media reported.

The event, which will span nearly 20,000 square meters, will feature more than 20 delegations from major apple production areas and high-quality fruit regions at home and abroad, and more than 300 agriculture-related enterprises.

A series of activities will also be held during the event. A tour of Yantai’s main apple production areas will be launched to highlight the achievements in the development of the apple industry.

A project focusing on high-quality development, fruit processing, industrial investment, and trade cooperation will be signed during the event.

A symposium will be held to discuss the development of the apple market amid the pandemic, share successful experiences and analyze the promotion of high-quality development of the apple industry in the future.
